QUICK Toffee Bars
| Servings: 4 Doz. Small Bars | Prep. Time: 10 Min Prep 15 to 18 Min Bake |
This is a very good recipe to make more than one variation of bar cookie from. Add white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts and its tropical. Cook less time and its more like a brownie. Add coconut or brickle candy chips and you get another flavor. Just add to the first 4 ingredients, you own favorite flavor, and see what YOU come up with!
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups sifted all purpose flour
6 oz pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
Thoroughly cream butter, brown sugar and vanilla.
Add flour, mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
Put into an ungreased 13x9x2 pan.
Bake at 350 for 15 to 18 minutes.
Cut into bars while warm.
NOTE* Bars will be harder and crunchier if you leave in a bit longer.
