QUICK Chocolate Brickle Bars

This is a recipe that makes a crispy bar. The only cooking you will have to do is melt the chocolate chips!
Ingredients
2/3 c miniature semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c crushed chow mein noodles
2/3 c peanut butter
1 (6 oz) pkg brickle chips (divided)
1/2 c powdered sugar
1/4 c instant non-fat dry milk powder
2 T water
1/4 c honey
Chocolate-Almond topping:
1 1/2 c miniature semisweet chocolate chips
3 T solid vegetable shortening
2 tsp almond extract
Directions
In mixing bowl, combine chocolate pieces, chow mein noodles, peanut butter, 1/2 c of brickle chips, powdered sugar, dry milk, water and honey. Mix well.
Press mixture into 8x8" baking pan.
Refrigerate until firm.
Meanwhile, prepare chocolate-almond topping. Spread mixture over firm bars. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 c brickle chips.
Topping:
In top of double boiler, melt chocolate chips and shortening over hot (not boiling) water. Stir. or, place chocolate pieces and shortening in glass bowl and microwave on full power 1 1/2 minutes.
Add almond extract.
Mix until well blended.
