Venison Walnut Stuffing

   This may be used as a stuffing or side dish for roast Venison, or other meats.


   1  (6 1/2 oz.) pkg. instant long grain/wild rice
   1  pound ground venison
   8  oz. chopped mushrooms (3 cups)
1/2  cup chopped green onions, including tops
   1  garlic clove, minced
   1  T butter
   1  cup broken walnuts
   1  egg, beaten
   1  T Worcestershire sauce
1/4  tsp. pepper
Vegetable oil


   Prepare rice according to package directions, adding 1/2 cup additional water.  Set aside.
   Cook Venison, mushrooms, onion and garlic until meat is brown and vegetables are tender.

   Drain off fat.

    Stir in walnuts.
   Mix egg, Worcestershire sauce and pepper.  Combine rice, meat mix, and egg mix.
   Bake in casserole dish, 40 minutes at 325 F.
