QUICK Easy Banana Split Cake
Servings: 12 to 14 Servings | Prep. Time: 20 Min Prep No cook |
I made this for a group of friends at the lake one weekend. It was a real hit with all ages.
NOTE* If you won't be serving this for a few hours, sprinkle the banana slices with lemon the keep them from turning brown. This will still be good the next day.
Ingredients
1 stick butter
2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
3 egg whites
2 cups powdered sugar
1 8-ounce pkg. cream cheese
4 bananas, peeled and sliced
1 can crushed pineapple, drained (medium sized)
1 8-ounce Cool Whip
1 cup pecan pieces
OPTIONAL: Cherries, coconut, chocolate syrup for
garnish on top.
Directions
Melt butter; pour over crumbs and firmly press into 9 X 13 glass pan.
Beat egg whites. In another bowl, mix sugar and cream cheese; fold into egg whites. Smooth over wafer crumbs. Next spread banana slices, and then crushed pineapple. Sprinkle with nuts and spread on Cool Whip.
Drizzle with chocolate syrup and garnish with cherries and coconut, if desired. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
