Red And White And Blue

   You don't even need a recipe for this one!  I made this and everyone loved it!

   1  medium sized Cool Whip

   2  pkgs. french vanilla Jello instant pudding

   1  16oz. frozen sliced strawberries

   1  angel food cake

   1  pkg. strawberry jello

Fresh whole strawberries for garnish. (optional)

   Boil 3/4 cup water;  add strawberry jello and stir well.

   Add frozen strawberries and stir to mix;  refrigerate to thicken.

   Slice cake into 3 layers.

   Place one layer in a trifle dish using pieces of smaller layer to fill hole.

   Mix one package of pudding according to package directions and spoon over cake.

   Spoon 1/2 thickened strawberry mixture over pudding.

   Repeat for one more layer.  

   Add dollops of Cool Whip around edges and place fresh strawberries on top.

   Place trifle bowl on a blue plate for a patriotic look.
