Pie Crust Tip

A Perfect Pastry Crust?  In your favorite recipe, substitute a
4:1 ratio of lard to butter.  I use cold milk in place of water or, cream if I have it in stock.  

 

A fruit pie, with the crust made of Crisco or lard will keep without refrigeration for 2 or 3 days, and the crust will remain crispy.
